Earmark = Wireless Radio Communications
: PORTABLE RADIOS : BELT-PAK BODY RADIO

Belt-Pak™ Body Radio

Earmark's Headphones have many design features in common. They employ a special, temperature and wear resistant coil cord, engineered to withstand the rigors of industrial use. Large coils keep the cord flexible, so it doesn't restrict movement. The cord terminates at a combined stress/strain relief that's integrated into a quick disconnect, Nexus connector. This easy to grab combination provides plenty of support for a quick pull when you're changing headphones in a hurry. Pull force is about seven pounds, so it won't come loose in ordinary use, but can pull apart if the cord gets snagged. A hefty spring clip holds the coil cord close to your body and out of harms way.

Body Radio Specifications

Earmark Belt-Pak provides productive communications for a variety of hostile and difficult environments. Radio features and functions are almost identical to those of Earmark's radio Headsets. These belt worn radios put the weight at your waist, instead of your head. Choose a headphone to suit your working environment and you're all set to go. Headphones interchange quickly and easily, so, when you change environments, you simply change headphones.

All headphones have quick disconnects. Easy on, easy off! The top mounted controls are simple and intuitive. Power and volume reside at your fingertips with a single rotary control. The guard protected mode switch selects from either VOX ON and VOX OFF or VOX and Continuous Live Mic, depending on your network type. The Battery Condition Indicator Light completes the top mounted control group. Starting out bright red with fresh batteries, the light dims as the batteries are used up.

PTT versions have the sealed, PTT button on the Belt-Pak's face, where it's easy to find and operate. The gasket sealed, thick walled polycarbonate case surrounds and protects the electronics. Batteries fit neatly into a sealed compartment. The Belt-Pak holds one or two, 9V alkaline cells, one or two 8.4V NiCd cells or a single, Intrinsically Safe, Earmark RPS.

Both the receiving and transmitting antennae are located at the bottom of the Belt-Pak  and out of your way. The stainless steel belt clip withstands the fifty pound pull test for fire ground equipment. Stainless steel hardware completes our material selection. The Series 4B Belt-Pak is tough and rugged. It won't let you down.
